Wonder Woman in the 1940’s. Here she is in issue #6.
art by Harry Peter, Terry Dodson (surprise!)
WOW, Wonder woman went shopping in issue #178! Note the giant X over the old costume. Anybody repeating history here, or is it just me?
Courtesy of late, great artist Dick Giordano.
WW Costume is back, and revamped, issue #204. Note some of the subtle differences. The eagle is almost gone, or at least more brazier shaped. And no more hot pants.

REBOOT!!! And how. WW’s past is much more integral to the artwork and the character.

Wonder Woman (1987) #72
One of the most iconic covers of WW I’ve ever seen. Beautiful.

Wonder Woman (1987) #93
Here we are again, another costume change. Art by none other than Mike Deodato Jr. Mike, dude, can you be any cooler?
Wonder Woman (1987) #101
And she’s back in costume again, ladies and gentlemen. Art by John Byrne
WW stays true to this for the most part for the rest of the series until … . .
Wonder Woman #601

Scroll down a bit and take a hard look at WW through the years. This new version is a blend with a little less leg, a little more bad assedness.
Yes, that’s a word. Consult Jack Black.
My only real complaint about this costume design is the lack of Wonder Woman’s Greek roots. Where is the AMAZON? This chick’s cute and all…. but if I wanted cute, I’d call Donna Troy.
Still, the world goes on. My hope is that through all the costume changes, WW will stay true to her roots as a “distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men.”
